Notes for Mary Carol OWEN
Notes from Sue Owen:

Mary Carol Owen: Younger than her brothers, Jean and Harry by 12 and 7 years, respectively. She lost both her parents by the time she was 14. Her mother's will contained a clerical error which was not corrected before her death; it named her sister-in-law Opal as Mary's guardian, but Ella Mae meant to name her sister-in-law and best friend Sybil Saxon, a kind woman who was close to Mary. But Opal was the legal guardian, so she and her family moved into the house on West Comanche in Norman with Mary and did not treat her well. Mary Carol married at age 18. Her husband, who was in the Army, was stationed in Germany. The two of them were able to travel in Germany before they retumed to Norman, OK, where they raised three children.
