Audley J. "Ed" Martin, also known as A. J. Son of J. J. and Nancy Ann Wallace Pickle.

Audley married 1st wife Miss Lillian Owen, May 6, 1894 in Hopkins county, Texas by J. R Hooten, Evangilist of Church of Christ and they had two children: Pearle and Myrtle.

After Lillian passed away Audley married 2nd wife Luella (Steele) Saxon, widow of John Andrew Saxon. Audley and Luella had four children: Emma Jane, Ruby Rene, Frank and Charles Martin. Step-children: George Carter Saxon, Ella M, & Harry Saxon.

Death this morning claimed Audley J. Martin, 71, who died in an Oklahoma City hospital where he had been a patient the last several weeks. He had been in ill health for some time.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Primrose Funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Frank Martin, Norman, and Lt. Charles Martin, U.S. Army, New Guinea, and two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Cowan [sic] and Mrs. H. E. Zehm, both of Renton, Wash., and two stepsons, George Saxon, Norman, and Harry Saxon, Shawnee, one stepdaughter Mrs. Hubert M. Owen, Norman, and 22 grandchildren.

Funeral rites for A. J. Martin will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Primrose Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. James Wilkerson, Noble, as minister in charge.

Mr. Martin died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital.
